Privacy Policy

Luma Album is an augmented reality photo and video album app. Users can upload reference photos and linked videos in a web dashboard, then use the iOS or Android app to scan printed photos and play the matching video in augmented reality.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or use an account, we collect your email address so you can sign in, receive verification codes, and access the albums or gifts available to you.

Uploaded Content

When you use the dashboard, we collect the reference photos, videos, album titles, and photo/video mapping details that you upload or create.

If a frame is a gift, the sender provides the recipient's email address so only the person who verifies that address can access the gifted photo and video.

Before uploads are saved, we may create small preview images from the selected reference photo and linked video frames to check for explicit or unsafe content.

Camera Access

The mobile app uses your device camera to scan printed photos for augmented reality tracking. Camera access is used for the live AR experience. Luma Album does not intentionally upload or store live camera frames.

Technical Information

The services used to run the app may process technical information such as request logs, IP address, browser/device information, and error information for security, hosting, and troubleshooting.

• Send account and gift-recipient verification emails.
• Optimize uploaded media for reliable mobile playback and image tracking.
• Check uploaded content for explicit or unsafe material before saving it.
• Load active photo/video pairs in the mobile app.
• Provide, secure, debug, and improve the service.

How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information.

We use service providers to operate the app, including:

• Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage.
• Vercel for hosting the dashboard and secure server endpoints.
• Resend for authentication and verification email delivery.
• OpenAI for content safety checks on upload previews.

These providers process information only as needed to provide the app functionality.

Data Storage And Security

Uploaded files are stored in private storage buckets. Database access uses row-level security so users should only access their own albums and album items. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.

No system can guarantee perfect security, but we use reasonable technical measures for this MVP.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual photo/video pairs from the dashboard. You can also permanently delete your account from the Account screen in the mobile app or with Delete account in the dashboard. Account deletion removes the account, albums, mappings, reference photos, and videos owned by that account.

Deleting a gift recipient's account does not delete content created and owned by the person who sent the gift. To request help with deletion, contact kalyankumar.yenuga@gmail.com.

We will delete or anonymize account data where required, unless we need to retain limited information for legal, security, or operational reasons.

Children's Privacy

Luma Album is not intended for children under 13. Do not upload content unless you have the rights and permissions needed to use it.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as the app changes. The updated policy will be posted with a new effective date.
